Doctor Overview
Dr. Rudy Lackner is a professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his medical degree at New York Medical College before doing his fellowship training at the University of Chicago. He specializes in using minimally invasive techniques in the treatment of both malignant and benign tumors of the airway.
Dr. Lackner holds several appointments at the University of Nebraska Medical Center including Program Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency Program and Chief of the Section of Thoracic Surgery. He maintains research involvement in primary and metastatic thoracic cancers, investigating combination therapies for the treatment of advanced cancers.
